Dear Friends,

As I approach my first anniversary as Executive Director of Partnership Health Center, I’ve been reflecting on what this year has meant, and on the role each of you plays in our work. Above all, it’s the dedication of our team and the strength of this community that stand out. Every day, I see the compassion and resilience that define PHC, and it’s clear that none of this happens without the support of people like you.

This has been a year of listening, learning from staff, patients, partners, and supporters. Your insights help shape how we grow, improve, and respond to the evolving needs of our community. Together, we’ve strengthened partnerships, expanded access to care, and continued showing up for those who rely on us. That consistency, grounded in purpose and compassion, is something you help make possible.

This year has also reinforced a few truths: meaningful progress takes time, transparency builds trust, and investing in people is essential to sustaining our mission. Looking ahead, I’m energized by what we can accomplish together. With your continued support, we will keep building a stronger PHC, one that meets today’s needs while preparing for tomorrow.

I also invite you to save the date for our Fourth Annual PHC Gala, an opportunity to come together to celebrate this work and continue building momentum for the future.

Thank you for being an essential part of the PHC community. I’m grateful to be on this journey with you.

With gratitude,
David Crawford
Executive Director
Partnership Health Center

We are pleased to announce that Partnership Health Center has been awarded a $30,000 grant from Greater Valdosta United Way in support of our mission to expand access to quality healthcare for uninsured adults in our community.

United Way has been a valued Community Partner of PHC since our founding in 1997. In fact, they were among the original agencies that came together to form the coalition that established Partnership Health Center, making this continued investment especially meaningful. Today, PHC is proud to serve as a United Way Impact Partner, working together to improve lives across South Georgia.

This funding will support PHC’s medical clinic, which provides primary care services to uninsured adults ages 18–64 who earn under 400% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. With more than 34,000 uninsured residents in Lowndes County and surrounding areas, the need for accessible, consistent healthcare remains significant. Through services such as chronic disease management, urgent care, medication assistance, and preventive care, we help bridge this gap, reducing health disparities and improving long-term outcomes.

We are deeply grateful to Michael Smith, President and CEO, and to the entire selection committee for their confidence in our work and their continued commitment to strengthening our community.

Ever wonder what it’s really like inside PHC? On April 15, we welcomed our second tour group, including community partners, donors, and board members who joined us over the lunch hour for a behind-the-scenes look at our clinic and the work happening every day to serve our patients.

Clinic Director Amanda Stone and Medical Director Dr. Jessica White, guided guests through our facilities, detailing the services and care we provide to our patients. Highlighting how our team supports patients through everything from routine visits to chronic disease management.

Lunch provided an opportunity for conversation and connection, giving attendees time to ask questions and get to know each other.

These tours are quickly becoming a favorite way to introduce PHC and deepen relationships within our community.

The tour concluded with a meaningful moment at the front desk, where our Director of Operations Pablo Campa shared the story behind the bell hanging nearby. Inscribed with the words, “I took responsibility for my health,” the bell serves as a powerful symbol of the commitment our patients make on the journey toward better health.

We will be sharing details for our next tour soon! Stay tuned.
